Hot, dry weather expected in most parts of Pakistan

Weather KARACHI: Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted hot and dry weather for most parts of the country, Samaa reported.  According to weather department, mainly hot and dry climate is expected in most plain areas of the country for the next 24 hours whereas rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds are expected at a few places in Makran, Zhob, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu divisions, Islamabad, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm took place in Bannu and Parachinar. The weather department also stated that mercury is expected to go above 40 degrees centigrade in Karachi. Mercury is expected to reach 44 degrees in Hyderabad whereas temperature in Lahore, Faisalabad and Multan is likely to reach 41 degrees PMD also stated that the mercury will continue to rise and fall in the months of May and June and the climate will remain "50-50" in the holy month of Ramadan. – SAMAA
