Three rainy spells expected in May: Met Office

RAIN-3-664x480 LAHORE: Pakistan Meteorological department has forecast three to four rain spells in some parts of the country during May. According to Met report based upon regional and global weather conditions affecting climate system the northern half of the country is expected to receive slightly above normal precipitation. Three to four spells of thunderstorm-rain and isolated hailstorms associated with windstorm have been predicted in upper Punjab and adjoining areas of KPK. Hot and dry weather conditions with chances of dust/thunderstorms will prevail in southern half of the country. Temperatures in the southern half of the country are likely to remain slightly above normal. "Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country while very hot weather is likely in upper Sindh and south Punjab during next 24 hours", daily weather report said. In the provincial capital, maximum temperature was recorded as 36 degree Celsius on Thursday. –App
