LAHORE: Pakistani actress Meera, who has been embroiled in a marriage controversy, has claimed that she is receiving threats to her life.

She spoke to reporters Saturday after the hearing of the case involving business tycoon Attiq-ur Rehman who has maintained they got married in Dubai. Meera has rejected these claims.

“He is a blackmailer and all of this is a conspiracy against me,” she said. “I have never done any fraud in my 13-year career.”

Meera said that people are demanding money from her off the record. “I am being told to remain silent. The pictures with Attiq-ur Rehman are fake.”

She said that Rehman's car was in her father’s possession and he could get it back once he returned a Rs 400,000 loan.

The Pakistani actress repeated her allegation that Indian film director Faisal Saif was behind the problem. SAMAA
